Self-Reflection

1) I think I'm doing pretty well on my senior project so far. I think a deserve a P because I have met all the requirements and have done them proficiently but not enough for an AE.

2) I have done a great job on my research checks because I bring in reliable sources and am not missing anything in my research binder.

3) I would like to improve on my time management with service learning and my independent component. I still have a lot to do but I haven't been able to put in my full effort since I haven't been managing my time wisely enough.

What I've Learned So Far

1) What have you learned how to do since you started working on your senior project?
I've learned how to interview a person and better research skills. I haven't learned actually learned makeup skills but through my research I have learned how to properly put on mascara, the history of mascara, cleaning brushes, the difference between brushes and how your diet is key to the way your skin looks.

2) Post evidence of this accomplishment.  It can be in the form of a picture, video, document, etc..
My 5 minute presentation poster.

3) What research helped you to do this and how?
Most significant research that I have is the book Bobbi Brown Makeup Manual. It has everything you need to know about makeup from the basics of cleaning to creating looks. I'm so glad I've found this and it makes other research sources more understandable.

Senior Project Topic

Q: What is your topic?
A: My senior topic is being a Make-Up Artist.

Q: Why?
A: I've always love make-up. I was fascinated by the colors and designs that you can put on people.  At a regular job you do the same old thing and eventually get bored, but being a make-up artist you have to be creative and you're always on your feet. Since you're always doing something different and helping people this occupation has really intrigued me to try it.

Q: What do you hope to accomplish after studying this topic all year?
A: I hope that by the end of the year I will have a greater understanding of what I am getting myself into and that my make-up skills will be at a professional level. I also hope that when I graduate from I-Poly I will walk out with a head start on my future career.
