A makeup artist needs to have a thorough understanding of the anatomic structure of their client's face in order to effectively apply makeup.
(2) What possible evidence do you have to support this answer?
- While attending Lebec Atelier I've learned that it's very important to be able to look at the client and see what needs to be enhanced and what needs to be hidden. From there the artisit decides what kind of makeup would compliment the client's facial features the most and play down the least attractive.
- With my service learner I have been informed and witnessed that not only do I need to know the anatomy of the face but also understand skin types and how fix it. If the skin isn't prepared with moisturizer then the makeup doesn't apply well and is difficult to work with.
- The Art and Science of Professional Makeup has chapters going into depth about the facial structures and how other artists approach it. As well as the functions of the body.
