Science Fair Proposal

1. What is your hypothesis?
My hypothesis is that the Cover Girl water proof mascara will work the best compared to other water proof mascaras.
2. Identify the dependent (produced), independent (manipulated) and control variables in your hypothesis.
My dependent variable is the four mascaras. My independent variable is how much mascara I put on.The control variable is the three test I will conduct.
3. What is the connection between your science fair project and your senior project EQ?
My connection between my science fair project and my senior EQ is that in order to be a good makeup artist you should know all your products. If someone came up to me asked which is the best waterproof mascara I would answer them right away and have facts behind it since I've tested them.
4. How will you perform the experiment?  Include the equipment you plan on using.
I will first go out and by 4 different waterproof mascaras. The first test is the crying test which you could chop onion and see if the mascara runs down. The second test is humid test, which is when you get a hot bowl of water and put your face near it for 10 minutes. The third test is just water where there will be a bowl of room temperature water and you will dunk your head in the bowl. All mascaras will go through the tests.
5. Which category will your project be listed under?  (For a full list of categories, go to the iPoly Physics webpage, then to the Science Fair tab.)
